"our profession is our passion"

Background

I was born and raised in Keimoes, a small town in the Northern Cape, close to Upington, South Africa. In 1996 I completed my school career at Hoërskool Keimoes. The year after I was part of a media team that worked for a community based organization.

In 1998 I enrolled for a course in Electrical Engineering and graduated in 2002 at Peninsula Technikon (now known as Cape Peninsula University of Technology). Telkom SA employed me early the same year.

Late 2004 I started doing photography as a hobby, but soon realized that my abilities were far better than I expected and decided to make a career change.

I started to do self studying on the subject of photography in general. The urge to learn more about the subject haunted me and so I enrolled and completed a course in Professional Photography at Don Mackenzie’s Photographic School.
Thereafter I successfully concluded my studies in Digital Photography and Adobe CS at the Cape Town School of Photography.

April 2006 after four years of service I resigned from Telkom to pursue my career as a professional photographer.
